Veracity Xtended Dialer allows you to perform the following functions from your Mac or Windows computer:

Search directory.
Remotely place calls using a supported Veracity phone.
Place your phone in DND (Do Not Disturb).
Enable remote office (if configured).
Enable call forwarding always (if configured).
Enable click-to-dial.
View your call history.

Veracity Xtended Dialer is not a softphone. Calls can be remotely placed, but will not use your computer to place the call. Instead, the call will be routed to a supported Veracity device. In addition to dialing, the extension also lets you place your user in DND, check call history, and more.

Installation and Setup

Google Chrome is required to run the Xtended Dialer extension. Please make sure you have the latest version of Google Chrome is installed on a supported macOS or Windows device.

Download and activate the Xtended Dialer extension from the Chrome Web Store within the Chrome browser.
Once installed, you will need to log in to your account using the extension.
In the URL Field, type https://hosted.veracitynetworks.com

In the Username Field, type your username followed by @voice.broadweave.net
In the Password Field, enter the your password.
Click Sign In.

Restart Google Chrome to complete setup.

If you don't see the extension in your Chrome toolbar, click the puzzle icon in the top-right corner and select the pin icon to keep the dialer extension pinned to the toolbar.

Using Xtended Dialer

Veracity Dialer is not a softphone. You can use it to initiate a call on your Veracity device from your Chrome browser, but you cannot use your computer's audio peripherals. Please use Veracity Connect/VCaaS if you need a desktop or mobile softphone client.

Search and Dial

Type a number, name, or extension in the search bar to search your directory. Select a result to dial, or press enter if the extension or number does not yield a result. The dialer will ring your Veracity phone, answer your phone to complete the call.

Call History

The Call History tab displays your most recent calls.

Remote Office ¹

Click to enable Remote Office. This must be configured to work. Click again to disable.

Call Forwarding Always ¹

Click to enable Call Forwarding Always. This must be configured to work. Keep in mind, this will forward all incoming calls. Click again to disable.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Click to enable DND on all your devices. All calls will follow your unavailable routing setup. Click again to disable.

Options

The options tab/menu, displays options relating to the extension itself.

Click to Dial

When enabled, phone numbers on webpages will be displayed as links. Click the number to call it using your Veracity phone.

Notifications

When enabled, actionable notifications will be displayed for incoming calls.

Text to Speech ²

When enabled, you will hear audible spoken text when selecting links or options.

1 Remote Office and Call Forwarding Always must be preconfigured. They cannot be configured within the Chrome extension—only enabled or disabled.

2 Text to Speech may not be available on some devices.
