MiaRec Recording Platform - User Quick Guide and FAQs

What is MiaRec?

If you were previously using our OrecX platform and need an alternative to Veracity CDR (or Call Cruncher), you may be using our MiaRec platform. This guide is to help walk you through some of the basic operations and navigation for this platform.

How do I Add Users?

Users are added automatically the first time the make or receive a call.

Can I Edit Users?

It is not possible to edit users from the MiaRec platform as they are added automatically. If you have access to Veracity CDR, you can make some changes here; otherwise, please contact support for additional changes.

Can I Monitor Active Calls?

Yes. Once logged in, simply select Recordings from the tabs at the top of the page (next to Dashboard). Then choose the Active Calls sub-tab. Find the call you want to monitor from the list and click the + icon to the right of the call. Click the button that says “Live monitor this call” and you’re all set.

How Often Does the Data in the Dashboard Update?

The data in the Dashboard view updates in real time.

Does MiaRec Offer Transcriptions or Speech Analytics?

Not at this time.

How Long Are Recordings Available?

MiaRec recordings stored on our servers are available for 90 days.

Can I Offload Recordings to a Third-Party Server?

Yes. MiaRec supports FTP/FTPS, SFTP, and Amazon S3 Bucket. Please contact support in order to configure one of these options.

One of my Users isn’t Being Recorded, Why?

You may need to contact support to make sure the call recording feature is available—and enabled—on that user.

What Are the Call Recording Options?

The following options can be configured by a Veracity support agent:

  • Always Record

  • On Demand

  • On Demand with User Initiated Start

  • Never
